Make a YouTube Short from your pet's photo

Shorts are vertical, short and endlessly looping, which is exactly what a living portrait is.

Shorts use a vertical 9:16 frame. Make several moods of the same pet for a quick series, such as "calm vs excited".

How to do it

  1. Create and download your living portrait.
  2. In the YouTube app, tap + then Create a Short, and upload the video.
  3. Add music or text, then a title such as "My dog comes to life".
  4. Publish, and mark it as altered or synthetic content if YouTube asks.

Best moods for this

Upload one photo, pick a mood - your first preview is free when you sign in with Google (a short 480p clip with a watermark, watch online).

Questions

Do I need to disclose AI?

YouTube asks creators to disclose realistic altered or synthetic content. Follow the prompt when you upload.

Can I monetise it?

That depends on YouTube's policies for your channel. Original commentary and series tend to perform better than single clips.
