Your pet as a moving iPhone wallpaper
iPhone wallpapers can move using Live Photos. Convert your pet video to a Live Photo and set it as your lock screen.
Apple changes wallpaper options between iOS versions, and motion support depends on your model and version. If your iPhone doesn't animate it, you can still keep the video in a favourites album or use the best frame as a still wallpaper.
Our free video wallpaper maker helps you prepare the video. Also see how to set a pet video as a live wallpaper.
How to do it
- Create your living portrait and save the video to Photos.
- Use a free "video to Live Photo" app from the App Store to convert the video into a Live Photo.
- Open Settings, then Wallpaper, then Add New Wallpaper, and choose the Live Photo.
- Enable the Live Photo option (if your iOS version offers it) and set it as your lock screen.

Which mood looks best as a wallpaper?
Calm, slow moods such as Calm or Sleepy are less distracting on a lock screen.
Does it drain the battery?
Live wallpapers only animate briefly when you wake or press the screen, so the effect on battery is small.
