Celebrate gotcha day with a living portrait

"Gotcha day" is the anniversary of the day your pet came home. A living portrait is a lovely way to mark it, especially from that very first photo.

Many adopters still have the first photo they took on adoption day: a nervous puppy in the car, a cat peeking out of a carrier, a shelter photo from the listing. Bringing that photo to life is a touching way to show how far your pet has come.

A nice idea is to make two videos: one from the first-day photo with the Curious mood, and one from a recent photo with Happy. Post them side by side as a "then and now".

Questions

My adoption photo is low quality. Will it work?

Often yes. The clearer the eyes and nose, the better the result. If the first try isn't right, try a slightly different crop.

Can shelters use this to share adoptable pets?

Yes, see our ideas for shelters and rescues.
