Photo tips for Dachshunds
- For a portrait, frame the head and chest rather than the whole long body. The face should fill a good part of the photo.
- Black-and-tan coats lose detail in shadow. Take the photo in bright, indirect daylight, near a window or outside on a cloudy day. Avoid backlight and flash, which make dark eyes glare.
- One animal per photo, facing the camera, with nothing covering the face.
Good to know
Close head-and-shoulders shots work far better than full-length side views.
